As previous versions of the ‘Active’ series, it will offer a superior degree of resistance and the performance of one of the flagship of the Android platform.

Galaxy S9 Active has been filtered with model number  Samsung SM-G893  and its most outstanding features is the above, a chassis joined by a metal frame, reinforced corners to protect the body of the terminal and  MIL-STD-810G military grade certification  for protection against falls, bumps, dust, water and use in extreme conditions.

Another change with respect to the Galaxy S9 standard will be the increase in battery capacity to 4,000 mAh. Like other versions ‘Active’ will not use the ‘Edge’ design of the original, precisely to better protect the screen?

The rest of the components will be similar to what the S9 offers, based on the Super AMOLED panel of 5.8 inches and QHD + resolution for 1440 x 2960 pixels. Its engine will be the chipset Snapdragon 845 of Qualcomm or the Exynos 9810 of Samsung, according to markets. It will have 4 Gbytes of RAM and UFS 2.1 storage expandable with microSD, with capacity from 64 to 256 Gbytes.

Its camera system will be the same as that of the Galaxy S9, with 12 MP rear and 8 megapixel front, while in connectivity it will offer a fingerprint reader, iris scanner, and Wireless recharge. Bluetooth 5.0, LTE-Advanced and USB Type-C port.

With the Android 8 operating system pre-installed, the Galaxy S9 Active is expected to be available in the third quarter.
