GIGABYTE presents the Radeon RX 580 Gaming Box. GIGABYTE has officially launched the Radeon RX 580 Gaming Box, a new solution that allows the use of graphic cards externally and which, as its name suggests, is accompanied by an AMD RX 580.
It is not the first time that GIGABYTE presents a product of this type but it is the first version to have an AMD Radeon graphics card, a model that we can consider as mid-high range.
GIGABYTE presents the Radeon RX 580 Gaming Box.
The Radeon RX 580 Gaming Box maintains the construction, design and finishes we are used to seeing in the GIGABYTE Gaming Box series. We have a box in which is located a Radeon RX 580 in its 8 GB version ,a cooling system to keep temperatures under control and a power supply of 450 watts with an efficiency of 90% , enough to power any graphics card current.
As regards the Radeon RX 580 graphics card, these are its key specifications:
- 2,304 shaders(Polaris 20 XT in 14 nm).
- Up to 1,355 MHz on the GPU.
- 144 units of texturing.
- 32 rasterized units.
- 256 bit bus
- 8 GB of GDDR5 at 8 GHz.
- TDP of 180 watts.
The 1,355 MHz maximum speed is reached thanks to the OC mode that can be activated by software. To have a good bandwidth the Radeon RX 580 Gaming Box is connected to the PC through the Thunderbolt 3 port , which is capable of working at 40 Gbps. A PCIE 3.0 x16 slot does not reach the level, but in general it allows you to enjoy a good user experience.
Otherwise it has different connectors on the back and includes a customizable RGB LED lighting system . Remember that the graphics card can be changed, so in the future we could mount another more powerful model as long as it has the same format. GIGABYTE has not given details about the price.
